Iowa Region Junior Beach High-Performance Tryout
Join us for our Iowa Region Beach High Performance (Beach HP) Tryout! New this year...in lieu of the advanced track option within our general skills clinic, we're offering our skilled beach teams the opportunity to try out for our 2017 Iowa Beach HP team!

If selected, our HP teams not only gain access to our beach HP coaches, they will receive an invite to our Iowa Beach HP MidSummer Advanced Skills camp and the opportunity to represent Iowa at the American Beach Tour Championships in the HP Division, July 26-28 in Florida!
Pick your partner and register so your team can come review/train the techniques and strategies of the beach volleyball 2v2 game in this evening tryout. All potential HP athletes must also be registered for the Iowa Open (which follows this HP tryout) as your Beach HP coaches will guide you all day during that event. As indicated on the HP webpage, all Iowa Beach HP athletes should be available on these dates: Friday June 16, Saturday June 17, Friday July 7, Saturday July 8 and potentially for the ABT Championships in Florida--July 26-28.
Iowa Beach HP team selections will be posted by 9:30pm Friday 6/16.

*NOTE: Beach partners do NOT have to be from the same club team or school, and you don't have to play indoor club at all to play in our summer beach events. If you do not yet have a USAV membership, cheap summer memberships are available online at www.iavbreg.org.

Event Information
- Check In: On site from 4-4:45pm
- Event Times: 5-8pm
- Location: The Sands, 6214 Grand Avenue, Des Moines
- Cost: $40 each- Includes 3-hour tryout/clinic and t-shirt.
- Registrations accepted until noon, Wednesday, June 14. Walk up registrations will be not be permitted. Please contact Michelle at michelle@iavbreg.org or phone 515-229-6114 for more information during the late registration window.
Age Divisions:
(Note: we will follow the ABT age definitions for this tryout with the understanding that for the ABT HP Championship, we may have to adjust slightly to submit our teams within THESE age divisions.)
- 18U: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1998 or a high school student in the 12th grade or below during some part of the current academic year.
- 16U: Players who were born on or after September 1, 2000
- 14U: Players who were born on or after September 1, 2002
- 12U: Players who were born on or after September 1, 2004
*If partners do not share the same age division we will place you in the division of the oldest player.
